For some, Halloween is one of the best holidays (if not the best) of the year. Not only is Halloween a great excuse to dust off your funny, outrageous or creative costumes, but it is also one of the best reasons to have a party. Halloween parties are a chance for you to go out as someone else, if only for a night. Because we love Halloween at Invitation Consultants (and love Halloween parties even more), here are some ideas to get you started.

One of the most wonderful things about Halloween parties is that they are low maintenance. All you really need are some great invitations, fun Halloween-themed food, decorations, and creative friends dressed in costume. Let's start with the invitations...

  • Invitations - We love Halloween so much here at Invitation Consultants, we created our own line of Halloween themed invitations. These invitations are perfect for your Halloween party if you are looking for a Halloween-themed invitation that you can't find anywhere else. Invitations with a witch, skeleton or spider theme will set the spooky mood that you are looking for when sending invitations to your guests.
  • Halloween-themed food - Food at your Halloween party should be slightly creepy looking and can have a theme. The Food Network's website (www.foodnetwork.com) offers some great suggestions, from Snake Bites to Bat Sandwiches and Spider's Nest Dip. Better Homes and Gardens (www.bhg.com) also offers some great options on their website, including Silly Popcorn Treats, Sticks Mix, Cauldron Cupcakes and more. Anything that you can snack on and that will add to the scary atmosphere is sure to be a hit!
  • Décor - Halloween parties need to set a spooky Halloween mood. So a ghostly Halloween sounds CD is just the thing that guests should hear upon entering your House of Horrors. Bring the skeletons out of your closet and use them for decoration! Spiderwebs, hanging pumpkin lanterns, faux ghosts and tombstones can complete the look.

Halloween is not just for kids anymore! Don't let this amazing chance to host a party pass you buy. Besides, Halloween is a great chance for you to dress up in a great costume! The more creative the costume is, the better. So consider having a Halloween party this year, and make it a tradition!
