The Best Boy’s Birthday Party Ever
Throwing a party for a boy is usually pretty simple. Get a chocolate cake, put some monster trucks on top, buy him a Nerf gun, and let the fun begin. However, why settle for an average birthday party when it is possible to give him a great one? Here are a few ways to spice up that special guy’s big day.
Let Him Decide
So many times, the party planners tend to overlook the child being celebrated. They tend to think that they know just how to plan the perfect day, when their ideas might not be anything like what the kid had in mind. So, let him decide, within reason of course.
Ask the boy what it is that he would like to do for his big day. Maybe even let him make and address the invitations. If he wants to go to a skate park, have the party there. If he likes animals, go to the zoo. Maybe he just wants to invite his best friend over for an all day movie marathon; well, let him. His big day should be all about him.
Be Unorthodox
Every party has a cake, but not every party has an exploding cake with fireworks inside. So, that might be a bit extreme; but go out of the way to do things a little differently at this party. Do not simply fall into the boring old routine of pools, piñatas, and presents. Try something more unorthodox.
Boys like to be crazy and wild. Fill balloons with pudding instead of water and have an epic battle in the yard. Get a slip ‘n slide, cover it in shaving cream, and let the kids have a blast slipping and sliding all over the place. These ideas are great for both kicking up the fun and keeping the budget in check. A boy’s birthday party does not have to be the same thing every time. Try something new, let him have a say, and watch everyone have a great time at the party of the year.
