Throw the Easter Party of the Year
Easter is a pretty big holiday for Christian Americans and many others. It is a time of joy and happiness, often celebrated by popular Easter egg hunts and big Easter parties. Planning one of these parties is as easy as one, two, three.
1. Keep it Kid Friendly
Most Easter parties are, by nature, centered on children. However, sometimes it is hard to come up with party activities that are fun for kids of all ages. A lot of these parties only provide things for younger children to do, leaving the older ones bored and sitting on the sidelines. Try having different stations at the party that are just for the different ages. Maybe one area has an easy egg hunt for the toddlers, but the older kids can participate in a hard-boiled egg-eating contest at another part of the venue. Even incorporating the parents can be a fun way to keep everyone entertained.
2. Have Lots of Candy
Candy is the best part of Easter, by far. Loads of chocolate, jellybeans, and the like are the staple of any good Easter party. Putting candy in the invitations is a tempting way to get people to come. However, instead of just giving out the candy at random, make guests work for their sweet treats. Have people go through an obstacle course with their feet bound, forcing them to hop like a rabbit. The winner gets a chocolate bunny. Make a cookie decorating station or let kids learn how to share by having a candy swap, where children get all their candy together and then they trade with their friends. This helps avoid whiney kids and also lets kids with food allergies trade for candies they can enjoy.
3. Make Old Traditions New
Dyeing eggs is a tradition that has been with Easter lovers for a long time. Dyeing eggs can be a bit messy for the young ones, so try letting the little kids color the eggs with crayons or markers to avoid the mess. The older kids and adults can have a bit more fun and go wild with a splatter painting station. Set up a cloth behind a covered table, set the eggs on the table, and then let the guests go crazy. These three easy steps can help anyone throw the greatest Easter party of the year.
