Make a big splash with this pool party
One of the best parts of summer or of having a pool by far is hosting a pool party. This is not really a formal occasion but a great way to bring together family and friends alike. You can do this and cater it to the guests, their age, and interests, and really have fun with it. This can be a family affair or a perfect way of celebrating your child’s birthday. There is so much that you can do when hosting a pool party and therefore you can really make it your own.
Start with invitations that are more laid back and relaxed in nature but that scream that you are hosting a pool party. Put in images of swimming pool and perhaps a beach ball, and then tell guests to bring their bathing suits and towels. Then you can get to work creating the right ambiance with island type of music that sets a relaxed tone. You don’t need much in the way of decorations but you can go for some simple ideas like paper lanterns or candles if it’s later in the day.
Put together a simple menu, such as a BBQ which always goes well with this occasion. Have some fun summer drinks like lemonade and perhaps a fun umbrella drink for the adults. Watermelon, chips, and a simple cupcake help to pull it all together. You can feature games or competitions if you have kids. You don’t even have to put that much though into it for when you are hosting a pool party it’s all about using or sitting around the pool to relax.
