Why still send birth announcements?

There are many different reasons to purchase and send out birth announcements, and many different ways to do so. Some people like to create these cards just for close family members. They do not necessarily want to go all out and send one to every person they know. This is totally reasonable, and is most often what the majority of new parents will do. These announcements can be created online, in a store, or even by hand, depending on the couple. For those who like to share their great news with the whole world, however, there are even options to create a sharable online announcement that can then be posted to Facebook or other sites and viewed by virtually everyone.

Birth announcements are not necessarily essential, but why not share the joy of parenthood with friends and family? Receiving some adorable pictures of a newborn baby will brighten anyone’s day and allow those people who couldn’t be present at the birth to still feel loved and included.
